The first step to voting by mail is to apply. Macoupin County currently has multiple ways for you to request an application:
- You can apply online directly using our new online vote by mail application form by clicking this link or the red button directly above.
- You can apply by calling the Election office at (217) 854-3214 ext 707. The Election office will need the voter’s name, residence address, mailing address, and date of birth at the time of request.
- You can apply by filling out and printing the 2020 Primary Election Vote By Mail Application and mailing it to the Election Office at P.O. Box 107, Carlinville, IL 62626. The application can be printed from this link. Since this is a primary election, you must select a party in order to be mailed a ballot. If you select Nonpartisan, you will only receive any referendums that may be on the ballot in your area. To vote for a candidate, you must select a party on your application
- You can request an application be mailed to you using this link.
Please remember that an original, signed application must be returned to the Election office before a vote by mail ballot can be mailed to you. The first day vote by mail ballots will be mailed for the 2020 Primary Election will be February 6, 2020.
